Often, when watching a colleague's flight demonstration, you stand there with your mouth open and wonder how you can fly so precisely and cleanly. If you talk to these top pilots it quickly becomes clear that they train with their models for years and also optimize the settings again and again. While one quickly agrees that differentiation plays an important role in a messed up roll, one doesn't necessarily immediately think to adjust the deflections accordingly when a stall occurs on the elevator. In the same way, the exactly synchronous setting of a snap-flap can certainly be checked with a few test flights.
From now on, the new GliderThrow can provide very valuable services for these difficult adjustments. This little helper immediately shows the current rudder deflection via the display of your own cell phone. And even better! Even the difference of both sensors is displayed and thus immediately a discrepancy is shown. And that is accurate to the tenth.
This difference measurement can now also be used directly to determine the exact setting angle difference on the model. All that is needed is the "EWD Support" set, which is available separately. These two adjustments allow an exact attachment of the GliderThrow to the wing and elevator and thus a direct measurement of the EWD.
The EWD Support can accommodate wing depths up to 59cm and elevator up to 29cm wing depths. In addition, the Wing Support has a slightly higher arm and wider mounting angles to ensure a clean measurement even with thicker wings. Both mounts can be extended as desired with an 8x8mm square rod.
Functionality:
The sensors are each equipped with a sensitive position sensor and a small WLAN. If one logs into this WLAN with any terminal device, the GliderThrow immediately displays the currently measured values and the difference of these values on a browser window. Since the start page of the WLAN is used for the display, the use is completely independent of an app or program. All that is needed is a WLAN-capable device with an Internet browser installed.
Up to four sensors
Sensors 3 & 4 allow for expansion to four rudders displayed simultaneously. Since these sensors provide an additional W-LAN, you can add them to a 1&2 set at any time and then enjoy the benefit of four sensors on one display. The use of these sensors as a pair is also possible without any problems.
